Families in a family business

It is not unusual that whole families work for Wiegand-Glas. The Zipfel and Bayer families have even been associated with us for four generations.

"In our family, container glass is omnipresent, especially at the weekends when the family gets together, there are always discussions about the glass business. My great-grandfather as well as my grandfather, until recently, already worked for Wiegand-Glas. My parents both completed their apprenticeships there and today work in the administration of Wiegand-Logistik and in the central technical department in the areas of inspection and packaging technology alongside with my uncle, who is responsible for the personnel planning for shift operations at the Steinbach am Wald plant. I myself have already had the opportunity twice, to do an internship in the laboratory. The great commitment of the family-run company Wiegand-Glas in our region cannot be valued highly enough and our whole family is very proud of being able to help to further develop this innovative company into the future."
