Internships

An internship is the best way to gain initial experiences and impressions in professional life. Get to know our various apprenticeships better and use valuable insights to decide on your future career. We offer secondary school students the opportunity to complete internships all year round – of course under expert guidance – in all the professions we train.

Holiday work

Would you like to make the most of your holidays? Then you've come to the right place! You can gain a lot of practical experience and insight in the commercial as well as in the technical area during your paid holiday job at Wiegand-Glas. From two weeks to a maximum of three months in a calendar year, you can support us as a holiday worker.

You are welcome to apply here for an internship or holiday work. For your application we need a short cover letter stating the period of time you would like to work with us and of course a current CV.

From intern to apprentice

"I became interested in the production of glass bottles at an early age, as my parents have been working at Glaswerk Ernstthal for many years. That's why I worked several times during my school holidays and completed various internships at the glass plant. Thus I was able to gain many interesting insights which encouraged me to start an apprenticeship as a process mechanic for glass technology at Glaswerk Ernstthal."
