Apprenticeships

In-house training is important for us: We provide apprenticeships for 16 different professions and offer our junior staff the chance of a successful professional future. As an apprentice you will take on varied and responsible tasks. In our training centre you will be supervised by experienced trainers. Wiegand-Glas apprentices are regularly among the best of the year. We are very proud of this.

Internships

An internship is the best way to gain initial experiences and impressions in professional life. We offer school students internships in all of our apprenticeship professions.

  • Physics lab assistant

Depending on the locaction, you can do an apprenticeship in the following commercial professions:

  • IT specialist for application development
  • IT specialist for system integration
  • Industrial clerk
  • IT management assistant
  • Clerk for forwarding and logistics services

Apprenticeship directly on the doorstep

"My former boyfriend who also works at the glass plant in Ernstthal made me aware of the profession of process mechanic for glass technology. It was important for me to be close to home and to have a technical profession. During my apprenticeship, simply everything impressed me, from the variety of my tasks to the collaboration with my colleagues. At the glass plant in Ernstthal I have good chances of being taken on after my apprenticeship and perhaps also of developing further within the company.”
