As a family business, we combine entrepreneurial continuity with new perspectives. Together, the Executive Board and the Advisory Board form a strong foundation for the sustainable development of our company group. While the Executive Board is responsible for operational business, the Advisory Board provides strategic guidance and independent insights.
Nikolaus Wiegand is owner and CEO of the Wiegand-Glas group. After holding various positions both at home and abroad, the graduate in business administration has led the company since 1996 continuing the familiy tradition now in its fourth generation.
Lukas Neubauer has been Managing Director of the Wiegand-Glas Holding GmbH since 1 April, 2025. He studied International Business Studies (BA) and Business Education (MS) at the university of Erlangen–Nuremberg. After starting his career in the automotive industry, he joined the Wiegand-Glas group in 2013, where he was involved in various projects and held a number of management roles.
Dr. Thomas Struppert has been Managing Director of the Wiegand-Glas Holding GmbH since 1 April, 2025. A chemist holding a PhD, he began his career as a project manager in surface technology before joining Wiegand-Glas at an early stage of his career, where he held various management positions. After four years as technical director at a leading international supplier of specialty lubricants, he returned to Wiegand-Glas group in 2023.
Karsten Fuchs has been Managing Director (Sales) since 2025. A graduate in business administration, he had previously held management positions in various companies, specialising in sales, most recently as director of sales and marketing at an international container glass manufacturer.
Andreas Roseneck is Managing Director (Logistics) since 2015. A qualified freight forwarding clerk, he studied logistics part-time at the Giessen-Friedberg University of Applied Sciences whilst working, and took on managerial responsibilities at an early stage in various medium-sized freight forwarding and industrial companies. He has been working for the Wiegand-Glas group since 2012.
Siegfried Russwurm holds a doctorate in engineering and is an honorary professor at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. He has decades of expertise and experience across all areas of industry, partly due to his long-standing roles as a member of the Siemens Executive Board and as President of the Federation of German Industries. Mr. Russwurm is currently also Chairman of the Supervisory Board at Thyssenkrupp, Chairman of the Supervisory Board and Chairman of the Shareholders’ Committee at the Heidenheim-based family-owned company Voith, and President of the German Academy of Science and Engineering (acatech).
Frauke Schleer is a partner at PwC Germany and an expert in artificial intelligence and data-driven transformation. She holds a doctorate and a degree in economics, and advises companies on the strategic use of AI and is responsible for international transformation and innovation projects. She is also an honorary professor of artificial intelligence at Justus-Liebig-Universität Gießen.
Winfried Tillmann is a chartered accountant and tax adviser. A specialist in finance and capital markets, he served for many years as the spokesperson for the family office of a major German business family. He holds various positions on advisory and supervisory boards in family-run companies.
