Glass containers, preforms and containers made of PET, logistics, energy and recycling at Wiegand-Glas

Wiegand-Glas is represented by various business units at eight locations. At these we manufacture and sell individual products made of glass and PET and offer additional services for decoration, logistics and recycling. We produce more than 8 million glass containers, 8 million preforms and 850,000 PET containers per day. We round off the range of services for our customers with our coating plant, our service centre and transport and logistics services. We have our own recycling facilities and develop energy concepts for our plants with regard to the generation, the storage and the transport of renewable energies. More than 2,100 employees at our locations are committed to ensuring that our customers receive products and services that meet their requirements and expectations.

Großbreitenbach:
Production and distribution of preforms and (large) containers made of PET

  • Manufacturing: 19 injection moulding machines for the production of PET preforms (including 3 multilayer machines), 9 lines for the production of PET containers, production of KeyKeg® and UniKeg® PET non-returnable containers, production of technical injection moulded parts
  • Production volume: 8.3 million preforms and 850,000 containers per day
