A 0.33 litre glass bottle is now part of the product family.

Adelholzener Alpenquellen GmbH produces around 575 million bottles of healing and mineral water as well as soft drinks every year. This makes Adelholzener the third strongest mineral water brand in Germany. For more than 115 years, Adelholzener has been owned by the Congregation of the Sisters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul. With the proceeds of the company, the congregation supports social projects in its home town Bad Adelholzen and beyond.

Relaunch of the 0.33 litre Adelholzener individual glass bottle completely as Eco2Bottle!

In retail, Adelholzener beverages can be found in a wide variety of PET and glass containers. For many years, some of these bottles have been produced by Wiegand-Glas, including the 0.5-litre and 0.75-litre glass bottles. This product family has now been extended by a 0.33 litre glass bottle.

Due to the long-standing business relationship, Wiegand-Glas was a potential supplier for this new project from the very beginning. The protection of nature is a special concern for Adelholzener Alpenquellen. The careful use of natural resources forms a central part of the company's economic activities. This is why Eco2Bottle was introduced in one of the first talks on the 0.33 litre glass bottle.

The responsible representatives of Adelholzener were immediately enthusiastic. So Wiegand-Glas offered to produce the bottle as an Eco2Bottle in addition to the classic production. For a further step towards sustainable action, Adelholzener Alpenquellen produces the 0.33 litre glass bottle entirely as Eco2Bottle.

This means that the product is now climate-neutral in its production. Compared to conventional production, 38 percent of the emissions could be avoided or reduced. The emissions that are nevertheless emitted for the production of the bottle are compensated by 100 percent.
