Because homemade simply tastes better. This is the slogan and the fundament of the company Gläser und Flaschen GmbH. The company is a specialized retailer for jars and equipment for preserving as well as homemade food, located in Wustermark, Germany. Quality, innovation and variety are the main focus of the company.

Managing director Stefanie Burmeister has been a passionate preserver for over 20 years.

This is also how the idea to design and manufacture a jar for almost everything came up. As a long-time partner, Wiegand-Glas was on board from the very beginning.

The result: simple, beautiful and slim - the S-Glass is the German answer to the American Mason-Jars glass. Developed by Stefanie herself and produced at Wiegand-Glas, it combines all the advantages of a practical, versatile screw-top jar.

The S jar is suitable for any kind of preservation - for canning as well as for pickling. It has a continuous thread for a screw cap, which seals the jar airtight and leak-proof. This makes it ideal for taking along on picnics or lunch breaks and for storing liquid foods. With a filling volume of 500 ml, it is the right size for a portion of chili con carne, a delicious soup or lunch to go.
