First wines in 0.75-liter returnable bottles on the market

The reusable pool for 0.75 liter wine bottles is a project of Wein-Mehrweg eG i.G. in Möglingen. Companies can join this pool regardless of their type of operation and origin, use the bottle and put it into circulation. Behind the enterprise there are ten establishment enterprises, which stand with 5,200 hectares for over 5% of the total area under cultivation of Germany.

The first nationwide reusable pool for wine bottles is now reality.

Customers can choose from nine wines in the new returnable bottle right from the start. From dry to sweet, all flavors can be found here, including a wine made from a modern and resource-saving "Piwi" vine bred in Württemberg.

"With our years of experience in the development of new packaging concepts, we provided our customers with advice and support," Matthias Stolz - Segment Manager Wine & Sparkling Wine. With success - since July, the so-called 0.75 l. returnable bottle has been produced at our plant in Steinbach am Wald and Großbreitenbach. We hope that the concept will find acceptance among the population and look forward to a more sustainable future together.
