Stoneware look for Thalheimer Bauernwurst
Thalheimer Bauernwurst Deuerlein GmbH works together with a large food discounter for several campaigns a year. For this offer, goose lard was previously sold in an stoneware pot. As there is no disposal concept for the stoneware pots and the discounter attaches importance to sustainable packaging, Thalheimer was faced with a challenge.
More sustainable packaging glass replaces stoneware
EVA-Glas, a local coating company, found a jar in the product catalogue on the Wiegand-Glas website which was very similar to the stoneware pot in terms of its outer geometry. In cooperation with the plastic lid manufacturer TKV Thermoform, a lid was developed that has a very deep-seated design matching the visual appearance of the original. Thanks to the cooperation of the four companies, we were able to find a sustainable packaging solution made of glass that is also more economical.
