Weight-reduced 0.75 l Bree for Peter Mertes

It is the aim of the glass industry to reduce bottle weights by higher quality standards and better production processes. Consequently, together with our customer Peter Mertes KG and the decoration company involved, we have proposed a weight-reduced variant of the
0.75 l Bree. 

Optimisation of packaging specification combined with weight reduction

The weight reduction of 50 g was achieved by modifying the bottle diameter. This also enabled us to optimise the layer packaging specification and the number of layers per pallet. The result is impressive: the number of pieces per pallet could be increased by 25%.
