10 years anniversary of Wiegand-Glas service center

Since 2015, the Wiegand-Glas service center at our glass plant in Schleusingen has been an indispensable part of our value chain.

What began as an innovative step towards bundling and optimizing glass packaging services has developed into an efficient service division with a well-coordinated team over the course of a decade. Today, we not only process orders from Wiegand-Glas there, but also successfully offer our services to third parties.

Efficiency, technology and team spirit create rewarding added value

With highly automated processes such as assembling of swing stoppers, placing in customized boxes, repacking and packing into cardboard boxes, we ensure that glass products, supplemented by one or two additional benefits, arrive at our customers efficiently and securely packaged.

Impressive figures and a strong performance: over the past ten years, more than half a billion bottles and jars have been assembled with swing stoppers, packed in crates or boxes at the service center.

Currently, a dedicated team of 25 employees working in three shifts makes sure that everything runs smoothly every day. Close cooperation with the sales department ensures that individual customer requirements are implemented flexibly and reliably.
