Production in our new glass plant in Schleusingen is running

With the commissioning of the first machine, we were on the home straight with the project "new construction of furnace 1" in our new glass plant in Schleusingen.

On 1 June the time had finally come: the first glass flowed out of furnace 1

One day later the first machine was put into operation and the first jars were produced and packed.  The second machine was started up on 4 June and four days later the third machine for the production of wide mouth containers was started up. The fourth and final machine went into operation on 10 June, when the first wine bottles rolled off the production line.

Challenging weeks, marked and complicated by the effects of the coronavirus pandemic, have now come to a happy end.
