Our company group achieves validation for Science Based Targets

Our efforts to counteract climate change have become increasingly important for us. After years of avoiding and/or reducing greenhouse gas emissions with the help of innovative technologies and process improvements, we have now set ourselves concrete reduction targets with the Science Based Targets. The validation of these targets by the Science Based Targets Initiative commits us to reducing our emissions in such a way that the targets of the Paris Climate Change Agreement can be achieved, thus limiting global warming to 1.5°C.

Our path to the future

With this major step, we are taking a leading position in our industries in the fight against climate change. Currently, more than 4,000 leading companies and financial institutions around the world have already joined us in deciding to reduce their emissions in line with the Science Based Targets initiative.
