From an old train station to a modern home
At the end of November, the first residents were able to move into a completely modernized former train station building in Steinbach am Wald. After a six-month conversion period by Wiegand-Glas, six one-bedroom apartments that are ready for occupancy were created there, offering an attractive housing option, especially for young employees or new skilled workers who have to travel a long way. They are also located in the immediate vicinity of the company. The building is supplied with environmentally friendly local heating and boasts ideal connections: The train station is right on the doorstep.
Investment in affordable living space for junior staff and skilled workers
The furnished apartments make it easier for young people in particular to get their first four walls to call their own, encourage interaction between colleagues and save long commutes. With this concept, Wiegand-Glas is sending out a strong signal against the shortage of skilled workers and is investing in affordable living space for junior staff and skilled workers at the respective locations. Already about two years ago, five company apartments were built in Steinbach am Wald in the immediate vicinity of the company. We also provide support in finding accommodation or make housing available at our locations in Thuringia.
