The PETCYCLE system was introduced in Germany 25 years ago. We also actively participate in this ecologically and sustainably oriented closed-loop system for PET bottles. PET-Verpackungen GmbH Deutschland in Großbreitenbach has been a licensee of the PETCYCLE system since 2003 and produces preforms with a recycled content of 50%, 75% or even 100% rPET - i.e. recycled PET. Characteristic for the PETCYCLE preform is the octagonal or decagonal neckring.

PETCYCLE is not a classic reusable system - even if the PET bottles are collected in a crate and returned to the retailer by the end consumer - as the containers are neither cleaned nor refilled after being returned. Nevertheless, it is a closed cycle, as 99.4% of the containers are recycled and preforms for new PET bottles are obtained from the recycled material.

An innovative system that also benefits our customers: We produce rPET ourselves at our recycling plant in Großbreitenbach. This saves the customer transportation to the recycler, improves the quality of the rPET and conserves resources. In addition, our customers can use their own PET material for preform production.
