Wiegand-Glas supports supports the fire brigade in Schleusingen

Wiegand-Glas is closely attached to its region and lives its commitment to voluntary organisations since ever. Towards the end of 2024, the company supported the work of the fire brigade in Schleusingen with a six-figure amount for the purchase of a new vehicle.

New fire-fighting vehicle increases safety for citizens and company’s facilities

At the beginning of December, Wiegand-Glas’s owners and CEOs, Oliver Wiegand and Nikolaus Wiegand, invited into the glass plant and presented a symbolic cheque to representatives of the fire brigade enabling them to close the funding gap for a TFL 3000 Staffel fire-fighting vehicle. Delivery is scheduled for 2025.

Many Wiegand-Glas employees have been personally involved in the local fire service for years and actively contribute to protecting the region. “The new vehicle will not only increase the efficiency of the local fire service, but will also make a valuable contribution to the safety of citizens and our company”, Nikolaus Wiegand summarized.
