Welcome to Wiegand-Glas

27 young people started a new phase in their lifes and started a training in the Wiegand-Glas group beginning of September. Unlike in the past years, the traditional big welcome event had to be cancelled this year due to the current corona situation. Nevertheless, management and trainers was happy to welcome this year’s trainees and dual students of both commercial and technical departments in each of our plants in Steinbach am Wald, Großbreitenbach, Schleusingen and Ernstthal and had a short welcome with introduction of the Wiegand-Glas group.

We are happy to welcome our new trainees

This training year, we are proud to offer apprenticeships in six different professions and two dual courses of study. A total of ten process mechanics for glass technology, five industrial mechanics for maintenance, four mechatronics, three electronics technicians for industrial engineering, one toolmaker, two industrial clerks and two dual students in mechanical engineering and mechatronics support us from now on. We wish all of them a good start and together with their trainers and responsibles a lot of fun, all the best and a successful apprenticeship in our company.
